Valencia Apartments for Rent: Your Complete Guide to Finding the Right Home

Valencia has steadily become one of Europe's most compelling cities to live in. Exceptional weather, a world-class food scene, modern infrastructure and a quality of life that few cities can match have made it the top destination for international professionals, relocating families and remote workers looking to settle somewhere beyond the traditional capitals. If you are searching for apartments for rent in Valencia, this guide covers everything you need to understand the rental market, the types of stay available and how to find the right fit for your situation.

Why Valencia Is One of Europe's Most Sought-After Cities for Renters

Valencia offers a combination that very few European cities can replicate: rental prices significantly lower than Madrid or Barcelona, an efficient public transport network, direct access to the sea and a cultural and gastronomic scene in constant evolution. The Ruzafa neighbourhood has earned international recognition as one of Spain's most creative and liveable urban districts. Areas like Extramurs, Juan Llorens or the historic centre offer genuine neighbourhood life just minutes from the city core.

For those arriving from outside Spain, Valencia also offers practical advantages: highly regarded international schools, an established expat community and services available in multiple languages. At DLS Homes, our team assists tenants in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Dutch — because we know that our residents come from every corner of Europe and beyond.

What Type of Stay Are You Looking For?

Before beginning your apartment search, it helps to be clear about your timeline. The Valencia rental market breaks down into three main categories:

Mid-term rental (15 days to 11 months): this is the model managed by DLS Spaces, our operational brand. Designed for professionals on assignment, families in the middle of a relocation, postgraduate students or workers on fixed-term projects. Apartments are delivered fully furnished and equipped, with all utilities included in the monthly price.

Short-term or holiday stays (under 15 days): covered by our upcoming brand DLS Suites, focused on the premium segment within the Ruzafa neighbourhood, launching July 2026.

Long-term rental (over 11 months): regulated by Spain's Urban Leasing Law. If this is what you need, we recommend working with a local real estate agency specialising in long-term contracts.

The Valencia Neighbourhoods Worth Knowing

Where your apartment is located will shape your daily experience of the city. These are the neighbourhoods most in demand among our tenants:

Ruzafa: Valencia's most vibrant and cosmopolitan neighbourhood. Its own market hall, destination restaurants, art galleries and a street life that makes it particularly attractive for creative professionals and young internationals. Our upcoming DLS Suites offering will be located in Edificio Cádiz, right in the heart of Ruzafa.

Extramurs / Juan Llorens: a residential area with a strong neighbourhood identity, excellent connections to the centre and a very solid quality-to-price ratio. DLS Homes manages several buildings in this area, including Juan Llorens 24 and Turia 63.

Ciudad de las Artes / Algirós: a quieter profile, ideal for families. Close to the Turia Gardens, the Oceanogràfic and the city's main transport links.

Historic centre: maximum centrality and architectural heritage. High demand and limited availability. Very popular with expats and professionals on stays of one to six months.

If you are relocating with your dog or cat, you will not need to compromise.

We have been managing apartments in Valencia for over ten years. DLS Homes was founded in 2016 by Jesús Boix with one goal: to offer a quality, transparent rental alternative for people who need a real home, not just a hotel room.
