The studio apartments for rent in Valencia that people look for most when staying for a few months are lofts and furnished one-bedroom flats, sized for one person or a couple. At DLS Homes we offer both formats across four buildings we own in El Carmen, Ruzafa and Extramurs, from €1,830 per month with utilities, wifi and maintenance included, for stays from 21 nights up to 11 months.

If you are looking for a studio for a season in the city, whether for work, a project or a few months before settling down for good, this guide covers what you need to know: how a studio, a loft and a one-bedroom flat differ, what each option really costs and what to check before you book.

Studio, loft or one-bedroom: what's the difference

In Spain, an estudio is a home with a single living space: the sleeping area sits inside the living room, the kitchen is open-plan and the bathroom is the only separate room. A loft starts from the same open-plan idea, but usually gains in ceiling height, light or in the way the sleeping area is set apart. A one-bedroom flat adds a room with a door, which makes a real difference day to day, especially if you work from home or share the space.

Format Layout Privacy Remote work Best for
Studio One single space with the bed in the living area Low Possible, in the same space where you sleep One person, shorter stays
Loft Open plan, often with higher ceilings and distinct zones Medium Good, keeping work and rest areas apart One person or a couple who like open spaces
One-bedroom Living-kitchen area plus a separate bedroom High Very good: work in the living room, rest elsewhere Couples, daily remote work, multi-month stays

Our take on the studio is the loft. For stays longer than a month, especially if you are coming as a couple or working from home, a separate bedroom tends to be worth it, and in our portfolio the price gap between a loft and a one-bedroom flat is small.

How much does a monthly studio rental in Valencia cost

When you compare listings for studio apartments in Valencia, prices vary widely, and they rarely include the same things. A low headline rent can grow quickly once you add utility bills, an internet contract, missing furniture or repairs you have to pay for yourself. To compare properly, work out the total monthly cost of each option rather than the price in the listing.

At DLS Homes the monthly rent includes:

  • Utilities.
  • Wifi.
  • Maintenance handled by our own in-house team.
  • A fully furnished and equipped apartment, ready to move into.

On top of the rent there is a deposit of two months, which is mandatory for temporary-use contracts in the Valencia region and is lodged with the regional government (Generalitat Valenciana) within 15 business days. For a broader look at what to expect on price, see our guide to monthly apartment rental in Valencia: prices and what's included.

Our studios and one-bedroom flats, building by building

Every apartment belongs to our own portfolio: we manage them directly, with the same furnishing standard in every building and our own cleaning and maintenance team.

Building Neighbourhood What you'll find From
Huertos 4 El Carmen One-bedroom flats in the historic centre €1,830/month
Cuba 16 Ruzafa Open-plan one-room loft €1,860/month
Juan Llorens 24 Extramurs One-bedroom flats, including two duplexes with large terraces €2,010/month
Alta 36 El Carmen An entire building of one-bedroom units: lofts and flats with small terraces €2,010/month

Prices are indicative and may vary by apartment, dates and length of stay. Check up-to-date availability on each building's page.

El Carmen (Huertos and Alta). For anyone who wants to live the historic centre on foot: pedestrian streets, local shops and many of the city's landmarks a few minutes away. The Alta building is made up entirely of one-bedroom units, so it offers the most variety within this format. Huertos holds GBCe VERDE certification (3 leaves).

Ruzafa (Cuba). A neighbourhood with its own market, plenty of places to eat and life all year round. The Cuba loft is the closest thing to a classic studio in our portfolio, with the advantage of a larger, more open space. The building holds GBCe VERDE certification (2 leaves).

Extramurs (Juan Llorens). A residential, well-connected area a few minutes from the centre. This is where you will find the two duplexes with large terraces, an unusual option in monthly rentals for anyone who values outdoor space.

Who a studio or one-bedroom flat suits

  • Relocated professionals on a project of several months who need to move straight in without setting up utilities or buying furniture.
  • Couples settling in Valencia for a while who want privacy without paying for space they won't use.
  • Remote workers who need wifi included and a work area separate from where they sleep.
  • New arrivals who want a comfortable base while they look for a long-term home.

If you are moving from abroad, our team handles written enquiries in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Dutch, and phone calls in Spanish and English. Our guide to renting in Valencia as a foreigner covers the paperwork. And if you are travelling with a pet, all four buildings in this article are pet-friendly; the conditions are explained in our article on pet-friendly apartments in Valencia.

What to check before booking a studio

  • What the rent includes: utilities, internet, maintenance and equipment.
  • Minimum and maximum stay: at DLS Homes, from 21 nights to 11 months.
  • Deposit: the amount and whether it is lodged with the Generalitat Valenciana.
  • Pets: whether they are allowed, how many and at what surcharge.
  • Support during your stay: who fixes a breakdown and how quickly.
  • Type of contract: temporary use or habitual residence.

That last point matters. Our apartments are let under temporary-use contracts governed by Article 3 of Spain's Urban Leases Act (LAU), which differ from a habitual residence lease. For that reason DLS Homes does not allow tenants to register their municipal residence (empadronamiento) at our apartments: doing so would legally reclassify the contract as a habitual residence lease. If you need to register during your stay, keep this in mind before choosing. To compare providers with clearer criteria, read how to choose a temporary rental company in Valencia.

This information is for general guidance and reflects the legal framework in force in October 2026. For questions about the legal classification of your contract, we recommend consulting a real estate law professional.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a studio and a loft?

Both are open-plan spaces without a bedroom behind a door. A loft is usually larger or has higher ceilings, which makes it easier to separate the sleeping area from the living area.

How much does a monthly studio rental in Valencia cost with DLS Homes?

Our lofts and one-bedroom flats start at €1,830 per month, with utilities, wifi and maintenance included. A deposit of two months is added on top of the rent.

What is the minimum stay?

The minimum stay is 21 nights and the maximum is 11 months.

Can I rent a studio with my pet?

Yes. The Huertos, Cuba, Juan Llorens and Alta buildings are pet-friendly. Up to 2 pets are allowed, with a surcharge of €200 per month per pet.

Can I register my residence (empadronamiento) at the apartment?

No. Because the apartments are let under temporary-use contracts (Article 3 of the LAU), DLS Homes does not allow municipal registration, as it would reclassify the contract as a habitual residence lease.
